The sun’s warm embrace, airiness, and lightness—we were anticipating summer for a long time.

We welcome it with our new collection Katimo Summer 2023.

This collection features soft and structured silhouettes—the self-sufficient garments to be effortlessly paired with one another. The natural fabrics allow you to experience the essence of summer with every cell of your skin. We have emphasized the dress itself and its variability, from minimalism to opulence. A long milky-toned gown with a wave-like top is our statement style, resembling a kind of coral reef. There are six more dress styles in this collection, forming the range of outfits for both the casual days and extra evenings.

The offering of tops opens up with a new satin bra, shaped as an infinity sign—our staple design, which was initially introduced in our Main Collection this year. Basic tank tops in three colorways are made from modal, a fabric derived from eucalyptus cellulose. The beige corset is embellished with delicate drapes, and the black skirt incorporates a corset element, delivering an intelligent risk. 

Semi-sheer mid-waist trousers are crafted from French lace. Glimmering sequins form the materiality of our skirts and shirts, reminding of gleaming fish scales or the water drops sparkling in the sun rays. Other garments are created from crinkle viscose satin, serving as perfect companions for the summertime rhythm and vacation, as they don’t require ironing. The looks are layered with airy outwear: silver coat, long black cape, and crushed linen robe.

Italian velvet and silk blend, pure silk, satin, lace, and sequins placed onto a lightweight cotton batiste—traditionally, fabrics have been a crucial factor in Katimo collections. They reveal the potential of each silhouette while feeling natural to the skin and evoking marine visual allusions.

A symbolic image of fish appears in our brass and silver jewelry and bandana-styled printed silk scarves. In different traditions, a fish was a personification of wisdom, harmony, transformation, and rebirth. Some fish types create schools, moving together through the troubled waters, becoming symbols of connection and unity. We have decided to donate part of income from the fish pendant sales to volunteers who provide the affected people of the Kherson region with drinking water, water purification tablets, and water pumps.

We’ve been developing this collection since March. At the time, we were in awe of the force of water, of its wildness and tenderness, of the many ways it recalls female nature. Today, this force terrifies us. And yet, we have to choose life every day, and manifest this choice with our actions, with our very hearts.

The beauty of our common vitality is a force that cannot be halted.
